Chapter 9: Connection Manager
Page 212, first paragraph
I state at the beginning of Chapter 9 that Connection Manager (CMAN)
is an Enterprise Edition feature. Recently, a reader wrote to say the
following:
I was reading Note 112591.1 - Differences Between Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition in 8iwhen I noticed that the Connection Manager option is listed as available for Standard Edition in 8.1.7.
Looking at the note, this appears to be a change from 8.1.6 to 8.1.7. I can't immediately find documentation as to whether the change holds true in Oracle9i as well. You should double-check if you are using the standard edition and wish to use Connection Manager.
